Our Programs

Nanton Nutraceuticals has an extensive research and development program in place, focused on identifying superior Rhodiola plants and to better understanding the synergistic effects between the psycho-active compounds and how they act in the body.

We are currently growing and testing more than 14 different varieties of Rhodiola to better understand the production of medically important compounds and to identify potential "foundation" plants for our growing operations.

This is not as easy as it may at first appear. There are large variances not only between Rhodiola rosea varieties but between seedlings from the same mother plant.

To investigate these differences, Nanton Nutraceuticals is working with internationally recognized experts from The Alberta Research Council, the University of Alberta, University of Montreal and the Government of Alberta Department of Agriculture.
